Christmas Gifts

When it comes to Christmas gifts its the thought that counts.

But when it comes to God... its not the thought that counts...

Its what you do that counts.

A dream I had last night...

I had a dream that Bro. Bernard was up on the platform and he came over to our side and started talking straight to us...

Here is what he said.

"If you want more... then plan for more."

I am not sure but I guess this means that we should make ourselves ready to receive the things that we have asked God for...

I guess we have to be ready to handle something before He gives it to us...

Maybe its true what they say....

People always say that when you start to live for God that the enemy will try to fight.

I always just say that most bad things that happen to us are just life.

Saved people get flat tires just like unsaved people.

But I dont know....

Here is whats going on here.

We have recommited to God.

We have been praying and studying the bible.

We became Care Group Leaders at our church and have been reaching out to people.

Denise just called me to say the our only car just caught on fire.
Someone helped her get it out but I dont know what damage was done to the motor yet.

I have been pretty sick in my body... and I have 2 types of "scopes" scheduled.

I dont know... maybe its true what they say...

I dont care though. We are doing the right thing now.

Like the 3 hebrew boys said...

We know He can help us... but if He chooses not to we will serve him anway!

Riding the bench...

When I was in High School I was on the basketball team.
I was on the team but I rode the bench most of the time.

It feels good to just be on the team.
You get to wear the uniform.
You get to get out of school early on game days.
You get all the perks that come along with being on the team...

But inside there is always an empty feeling.
You know that you are not really doing what you want to do... and should be doing.

When it comes to living for God many of us are on the team...
But we are just riding the bench!

Get in the game! It's so much better than riding the bench!

God is doing so much!

God is doing so much in our lives I cannot really tell it all!
I don't just mean that He is giving us stuff... I mean he is making changes to us.

He is leading us into His paths...

Changing us out of people who care only about this life on earth into people who see in the spirit... And live to accomplish the mission of Jesus...

That mission is to reach souls. Care for people. Heal the sick. Bless his people.

I know beyond the shadow of a doubt that God has put us in this place to receive the change that He has for us... so that we will live the life that He wants us to live. So that we will get the work done that He has for us to do.
